Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
Right in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Once you confirm, your account and all associated data are permanently removed. The full walkthrough, including exactly what gets deleted, is on the Delete account page.
I forgot my password
On the login screen, tap “Forgot password” and enter your email address. We'll send you a link to reset it. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, please check your spam folder.
My trips or photos aren't syncing
Recording keeps running offline, but syncing needs an internet connection. Open the app once you're back in range or on Wi-Fi and it will upload in the background. If something stays stuck, logging out and back in usually clears it – your data lives on the server and won't be lost in the process.
Why does SeaMemo need my location?
No GPS, no route. Location is used only while a trip is actively being recorded, to capture your leg and the miles you sail. With no trip running, nothing is recorded. You can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings – the app's core function stops working then.
Can I export my logbook?
Yes. Trips can be exported as PDFs, and for mileage proof SeaMemo fills the relevant forms for SKS and SSS (Germany) and FB1–FB4 (Austria). More about logging sea miles →
Which languages is SeaMemo available in?
The app comes in seven languages: German, English, Italian, French, Croatian, Greek and Spanish. On first launch SeaMemo follows your device language; you can change it any time in the app's settings.
How do I invite my crew?
Open the trip, tap the crew and share the invitation link – by message, email, however you like. Anyone opening the link joins the trip and can track, add photos and write journal entries. The shared sea miles then land in every crew member's own profile.
What does SeaMemo cost?
SeaMemo is currently free for iOS and Android. Everyone using the app now secures a lifetime price or a substantial discount once the premium features launch.
